After over 39 years as an operational Air Traffic Controller, Renald Galea handed in his headset early in 2020. Renald did a stint in management and as a full-time classroom instructor. He holds endorsements as an OJTI and assessor. Renald held training seminars to controllers and airport users on safety, phraseology and airfield driving. He was appointed shift supervisor, Lead Incident Investigator, is proficient in the use of the Eurocontrol e-TOKAI and Risk Analysis Tool, and was a permanent member of the Eurocontrol Safety Management Tools – Change Control Board.

He has Bachelor and Master degrees in English, and is an authorised English Language Proficiency tester both as an Operational Expert as well as English Specialist.
